Greenstein, DeAngelo, and McCoy to partner with the Red Cross, YMCA, and Hamilton Township for the event on October 24

(HAMILTON, NJ) — Assembly members Wayne DeAngelo and Tennille McCoy will be joined by Senator Linda Greenstein (all D-Mercer, Middlesex), the YMCA, and Hamilton Township to host a community blood drive on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Hamilton Area YMCA - Children’s Gym. This drive is dedicated to serving those in need of blood, including trauma survivors, cancer patients, and others.

“Donating blood is one of the simplest, yet most impactful ways you can save a life—every donation is used to help up to three people,” said Senator Greenstein. “Our community has always looked out for one another, and this blood drive is the latest example of that spirit in action. I am thrilled to partner with the Red Cross and members of the Hamilton community to give hope to patients and families in crisis at their most critical moments.”

“Our community shows its strength when we step up for one another,” said Assemblyman DeAngelo. “This blood drive is more than a donation — it’s a lifeline. I’m proud to stand with the Red Cross, the Hamilton Area YMCA, and Hamilton Township in this effort to save lives and keep New Jersey strong.”

"Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood, and one donation can save up to three lives,” said Assemblywoman McCoy. “Today is about nurturing a culture of care in our community. We aim to collect 18 pints from 45 donors while also offering health screenings.”

“I want to thank our LD-14 team for arranging to ensure such critical health care resources are available to our local community by having this blood drive,” said Mayor Jeff Martin. “While we hope to never be in a position to need a blood transfusion, unfortunately, too many people do need them for critical care, and it is a great way for us as individuals to help someone in need.”

Representatives from Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna will be present to assist constituents donating blood. The Hamilton Area YMCA- Children’s Gym is located at 1315 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
