Assemblyman DeAngelo, in Partnership with Hamilton YMCA, Takes Local Youth on Inspiring Ski Trip

(Hamilton, NJ) — Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo, in collaboration with the Hamilton YMCA, recently led a group of local youth on an exciting and educational ski trip, offering them the chance to experience the thrill of skiing while promoting outdoor recreation, teamwork, and personal growth.

The Y Ski Trip, supported by the Hamilton YMCA, was designed to provide young people—many of whom had never skied before—with the opportunity to explore the slopes in a safe and encouraging environment. This initiative is part of Assemblyman DeAngelo’s ongoing commitment to engaging youth in positive activities that foster physical fitness and community involvement. 

“I want to give our young people opportunities they may not otherwise have—whether it’s experiencing the outdoors, learning a new skill, or simply getting away from everyday stress,” said Assemblyman DeAngelo. “Skiing teaches perseverance, confidence, and teamwork, and I’m thrilled to have the support of the Hamilton YMCA and all of our community partners in making this experience possible for our youth.”

Participants received professional instruction from experienced ski coaches, ensuring a fun and safe introduction to the sport. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Hamilton YMCA, the trip included transportation, equipment rental, and meals, making it accessible to all youth regardless of financial background.

The Y Ski Trip aligns with Assemblyman DeAngelo’s and the Hamilton YMCA’s shared mission to support youth programs, promote healthy lifestyles, and create new recreational opportunities for young people in the community.
